Gray's world!

Grayden has been delving into playing with his toys. We've set up a table for his cars and trains so that they can all coexist peacefully. Since the set up of that table Gray has been more interested in his toys than ever before. He has a fire house, a hospital, a gas station and some other things we rotate out.

Rolling Down The River

This past Friday Dad was determined to get out on the water. I had my doubts as to whether or not Gray would have fun or freak out the entire time. To my delight he was a happy kid for most of the day. The minute we arrived at the boat dock in Morris he was in awe of the water and the idea of going in the boat. Gray eagerly helped himself into the kiddie life jacket and sat happily in my lap as we buzzed about the Illinois River. Gray kept insisting he go IN the water. So I asked Dad to stop the boat. I asked Gray are you sure you wanna go in the water, he said yes. So I picked him up and set him on the edge of the boat to show him the water, and he freaked out a bit. So I pulled him back in and we went on our way. We stopped on a beach and hung out there for lunch. He had such a blast running up and down the beach throwing rocks and sticks into the water. We had some trouble getting him out of there when we were ready to leave. He wanted more beach! The day after, all he could talk bout was the boat, the big water, and the beach. He still talks about it. I'm glad he had a good time.
